Dogs
The other day me and my wife had just walked the dog about 10 or 12 blocks, once we got home we decided to give him a treat. naturaly the dog has to sit in order to recieve the treat so after a few trys he does and snatches his treat from my wife. in responce my wife talked for the dog, the puppy just said "stop playing around and give me my beefstick bitch!" my wife exclaimed, witch caused a chuckle out of us for a few seconds. But this just left me with more questions. Is it natural for humans to speak for those who cant for themselves? I have observed that parents do this often to their children. you remember, being talked about and for by your parents while you are in the same room. Its funny to me. I can see why a dog whould need someone to speak for it(although some can speak on command!) and how a baby would need someone but as a parent where would i draw the line? How old would my child have to be before i let them speak for themselves? before i look to them when someone asks me about them? would i be afraid of what they might say? Will i make my child seen but not heard or will they make monkey noises and throw poo? Lord i dont know!
